Diocesan Communications are more than a tool to announce
important Church developments, policies and events.
Rather, communication is a primary means of evangelizing
-- a way of spreading the Good News among our parishes,
schools and institutions, and with the community as
a whole.
The primary vehicle used by the Bishop of Santa Rosa
to keep Catholics informed of developments both within
the Diocese and throughout the universal Church is the
North Coast Catholic -- a quarterly newsletter mailed
to every registered Catholic household in the Diocese.
For information on how to submit material, please visit
the North Coast Catholic page.
The diocesan web site has been developed to provide
a continuing channel of accurate and timely information
on diocesan matters. To submit material or links for
consideration on the web site, please contact the Communications
Office at 707-566-3302, or email to sheencomm@aol.com.

News releases are published and posted on the Diocesan
web site to keep members of the Diocese apprised of
current events affecting all Catholics. These can also
be used in conjunction with letters from the Bishop.
From time to time, the Bishop sends letters to the
parishes in reference to specific items of current importance
to all Catholics. In addition to being released for
use with the parish bulletin, these are also posted
to the web in the Bishop's Letters or Cartas del Obispo section.
Diocesan Communications Committee
Appointed by the Bishop, the Committee serves as an
advisory group in matters concerning two-way communications
between the Bishop and diocesan leaders, and the faithful.
Committee members are volunteers who bring unique areas
of expertise related to publication, web development,
public and media relations, and development issues.
Members are as follows:
Dr. Deirdre Frontczak, Chairperson SheenComm@aol.com
Judy Barrett barrettj@sonic.net
Mike Carter MikeDPCMendo@starband.net
